Our Program

At Ohio Valley Labradoodles, our program is built around thoughtful planning, intentional raising, and long-term outcomes for both dogs and families. We raise a limited number of litters each year so we can remain closely involved in every stage of development, from pairing decisions to early raising and beyond.

We Believe

We believe raising a puppy well goes far beyond the weeks they spend in our care. The foundation built early on influences how a dog adapts, connects, and moves through life with their family. For that reason, our approach considers both genetics and environment, recognizing the role each plays in shaping temperament, confidence, and overall well-being.

From the earliest stages, we prioritize the health and care of our breeding dogs, supporting them through proper nutrition, exercise, and attentive care. This thoughtful approach allows us to support healthy pregnancies and, ultimately, puppies who are given the best possible start.

Early Raising & Development

Early experiences shape a puppy’s temperament, and makes a huge difference in their future. This is why we follow Avidog’s proven puppy-rearing methods. From a young age, we gently handle our puppies—touching their ears, paws, mouths, and tails—so they become comfortable with grooming, vet visits, and interactions with children.

Our puppies are raised in our home, surrounded by everyday sounds like kids playing, vacuums running, and dishes clattering. This helps them grow into confident, well-adjusted companions. They also receive plenty of love and attention from both children and adults, building trust and strong bonds with people.

We are committed to giving each puppy the best possible start in life and supporting their new families every step of the way. Our goal is to help them transition smoothly and grow into the loving family members they are meant to be.
