How to Reserve a Puppy
Questions Before Applying?
If you’d like to talk about timing, a particular litter, or whether an Australian Labradoodle would suit your family, please get in touch.
Tell us about your household, daily routine, and what you’re looking for in a dog. We’ll review your application and arrange a conversation about available or upcoming litters, timing, and any questions you have.
01| Complete an Application
Once your application is approved, a $500 non-refundable reservation fee secures your place on our list and is applied toward your puppy’s purchase price. Selection order is determined by the order reservation fees are received.
02| Reserve Your Place
Once your litter arrives, we’ll share updates as the puppies grow. You’ll get to follow their development while we get to know their personalities through daily care, play, and new experiences.
03| Follow Your Litter
04| Choose Your Puppy
At around seven weeks, the puppies receive a temperament assessment. We consider those results alongside our observations and what you’ve told us about your family.
Selections take place in reservation order. When it’s your turn, we’ll share information about the available puppies, talk through our recommendations, and help you make your choice.
05| Prepare for Homecoming
Puppies go home at eight weeks or older. We’ll confirm your go-home date and arrangements in advance and help you prepare for the first days together.
For families who need additional time before pickup, our Stay With Us program offers an extended stay with continued care and early training..
How will I choose my puppy?
Our priority is placing each puppy in a home where it will thrive. We carefully consider temperament and energy levels to ensure the best fit—for example, a high-energy puppy wouldn’t be ideal for a retired home, just as a noise-sensitive puppy may struggle in a household with young children. While we understand preferences for color or coat, temperament always comes first.
From birth, we observe how each puppy interacts with its littermates, mother, and humans. Our breeding dogs are chosen for their strong, stable temperaments, which they pass down to their puppies. There are no “bad” puppies—only ones better suited for different types of homes.
How Selection Works
Puppy selections happen in deposit order after temperament testing, which is done when puppies turn 7 weeks old. Once testing is complete, we will email you detailed notes on each available puppy. For example, if you are deposit #3, you will receive information on all puppies except those already chosen by families ahead of you. If needed, we can also schedule a call to go over the results together. Families have a few hours to decide before we move to the next selection.
Why We Don’t Choose Based on a Single Visit
Many people think that meeting the puppies in person is the best way to choose, but this can be misleading. A puppy’s behavior at any given moment can be affected by whether they’re hungry, tired, playful, or just waking from a nap. What you see during a visit may not reflect their overall temperament.
You are welcome to visit, but we rely on careful, long-term observations and professional temperament assessments to ensure the best match. Our goal is to set every puppy—and every family—up for success.
